"Look around you, your life is full of things of great value. I'm not talking about material wealth, I mean the warmth of home, words of encouragement from a friend and future illusions that many children in the world do not enjoy " Artisan Story.

Now, You Saw Everything ...
what really happens when you decide to write a book.
Illustration is the part,
idea about a diving penguin and a Richard Scarry style cut out underworld - took a lot of iterations
understand that the messy sketches serve a purpose. They help to shape an idea. The sketches you see are from all over the year. You can see ideas evolving and being killed. For someone who comes from the web industry, where you deploy five times
a day and things are designed for change, a book feels very final. The
book is a representation of who I am and what I know today. Five years
from now it would look totally different. I would actually love to see
artists redraw some of their early books!
The words: importance of clarity
I’m asked a lot whether I first wrote the text, made the pictures or
came up with the exercises. Being the sole author had the advantage of
handling everything in parallel, weaving a pattern that has all three
elements.
Sometimes I would come up with new exercise, draw a
reference to the chapter and modify the text. The beauty of picture
books is that the drawings can tell a whole other story beyond the
words.
Having a professional editor was amazing. Lauren helped me
come up with a friendly voice for all the characters and structure the
entire story in a new way. She was the one who suggested making the book
twice as long, in order to let the story breath.
The exercises: importance of structure
and you need to create your Character , story, etc
let me share the story of
“El niño sin palabras” [ "The child speechless"]
jaime was a different child. At birth his parents quickly realized it then, but appearance was normal, something inside was different from the others. In
his first minutes of life, to put Jaime on the breast of his mother the
baby showed a serene and happy look that was a true reflection of the
joy she felt in those sweet moments. The really strange thing is that James never made a sound, even when
the midwife slapped slightly to bring it into the air in your lungs.
Jaime also never cried to vaccinate. Even he did when he was two years and falling off the swing, they had to give points on the forehead. People commented that there was normal.Fue when his parents became concerned and visited an important doctor. After two weeks of tests and examinations, the doctor informed them
that the child had no physical problem that prevented him speak, he
should suffer some psychological disorder. So, again, his parents took Jaime Best Child Psychologist in your city. And
after credit and go through hundreds of test, it came to the same
conclusion as the previous doctor: Jaime apparently was a normal child. No one really knew why he did not speak."Words from the heart"His parents, grandparents, uncles and cousins Jaime understood perfectly. Only look at him, knew what he felt his heart. His face was a reflection of his soul. That was the great virtue of Jaime: communicate with people beyond words. Similarly he understood others to interpret gestures, expressions and emotions. This was always the case, he did not speak but he did not need to be understood. Until that day. It was November 12, when James was 5 years old.
It
was raining and Jaime and his mother were walking, holding hands, the
way to school dodging puddles on the ground to keep dry. They stopped at a traffic light was red and waited patiently for their turn to cross. That was when, without warning, tan dog ran across the road and was
hit by a driver who did everything possible to avoid the frightened dog.
Jaime and her mother witnessed the terrible scene dumb. Without
warning Jaime her hand from his mother and ran quickly to rescue the
dog lying motionless on the pavement, while the rain fell over his dead
body. His mother came looking terrified her son fearing that he too happen some misfortune.
At
such times, while holding the animal Jaime seriously injured between
her frail arms, the child began to sing very quietly a beautiful melody,
the same as her mother hummed to him as a baby. When at last the mother came to the scene and saw Jaime began to mourn. Cried in sorrow for the life of the poor dog. But also wept with joy at discovering how, for the first time, his son spoke. With
all her love, her mother leaned over Jaime, and taking off his coat
covered the animal that had expired his last breath in the arms of his
son. Later the police came and removed the body from road dog. And once overcome the shock of the accident, Jaime's mother asked her son, as she held her small hands in hers:
I -My son, what made you speak? Tell Me ...?
And Jaime, replied with such a loud and clear voice that did not sound like a child:- "Mommy, I have always been able to talk. I never did because I knew that the most beautiful words are those that come from the heart. But today my soul was so sad that she cried words of encouragement in song, for that poor dog that left us so soon. "From that day Jaime has not stopped to speak.Pero has never ceased to hear the words that are born from the heart.
oriental illustrations are impressive and intricately drawn, showcasing
harmoniously coated gold and black images. One of her signature
subjects, the gorgeous Asiatic female figure, is placed onto various
compositions and expresses an incredible amount of detail. draws figures such as skeletons, landscapes and even marijuana leaves
that are different in context, but still maintains her personal style
through the phenomenal patterning. The artist's subtle use of gold in
between highly detailed illustrations is mesmerizing.art is every bit as beautiful as it is eerie. found a unique
balance of expressing different emotions and themes using a signature
style of drawing. the portfolio is versatile, captivating and a delight
to look at.
The art featured here shows so many cultural influences it’s hard to
name them. But, from what we can see, Magdalena Tatarek is the reigning
princess of Polish Geisha Skater art which is a new genre that she
apparently created.
The Asian-inspired designs for skater shoes are gorgeous. The
hand-painted skateboard is too nice to take on the street, even though
you’d stop traffic if you did.
Magdalena Tatarek is part of Project Mleko. The project, according to
Tatarek, “arised to share colours, freshness and great design.” So far,
so good, right? “We wanted to prove that it is possible in Poland to
design, produce and sell original and cozy clothes. Mleko is a duo of
graphics/designers experienced in the clothing industry. The designers
were done with working for big clothing companies,” and “they decided to
use their knowledge and skills to establish a new and independent
project.”
Project Mleko sights Polish folklore as an influence, which sounds
unusual, but whatever works. Mleko products are made in Poland and
promote Fair Trade.
