Google has published a guide to help iOS users (who might not be impressed with the latest iPhones and iPads) make the switch to Android devices. It's perfect timing, too — Google announced its Nexus 6 smartphone and Nexus 9 tablet this month, which both run Android's latest mobile operating system called Lollipop.
Apple posted a similar guide for Android usersApple posted a similar guide for Android users looking to make a seamless change to iOS. Android's guide is split into four categories, with how-tos on moving photos and music, your contact list, old apps and Gmail settings from your iOS device to Android's platform. It also includes a reminder to turn iMessage off (you know, just in case).
Apple's how-to on switching to iOS is slightly lengthier, including six categories that not only provide the basics but also highlight moving books, PDFs and documents from your Android phone or tablet.
So if the only thing keeping you from making the leap to a new mobile platform is the fear of the move itself, both companies want you to know: Now's as good a time as any.
