And Caliph was Humiliated

kisah-pemimpinAbu Abd Allah Ahmad ibn Hanbal said, "Science is a religion of God is like a treasure deposits distributed to anyone who loved God. Suppose there is a class of people who are entitled to be privileged to become scholars of the Prophet's family was the most entitled to a privilege. Ata 'ibn Abi Rabah was an Ethiopian. Yazid ibn Abu Habib was the Nobi black. Al-Hasan Al-Basri was a former slave of the Ansar. As Muhammad bin Sirin is a former slave from among the Ansaar. "(Ash Shifat Shafwah, vol 2, p. 211).
Among the great scholar of Islam at the time of the Successors domiciled in Mecca was Abu Muhammad Ata 'ibn Aslam Abu Rabah is known as Ata' ibn Abi Rabah.
Among the evidence of science altitude Ata 'Ibn Umar is a compliment to him.
From 'Amr ibn Said from his mother, the mother recalled that when Ibn Umar arrived in Mecca Mecca residents wondering about religion to him. The phenomenon found Ibn Umar said, "O people of Mecca asked me why you gather in the middle when you are Ata ibn Abi Rabah." (Shifat ash Shafwah, vol 2, p. 211).
Among the interesting side of his life is the following story,
From Ishaq bin Ibrahim Al Harbi, he told me that Ata 'was a black slave owned by a woman from the Meccans. Besides black, Atha 'is a very snub nose Atha so described that' it's just as if the beans in his face. One day when it was named Caliph Sulayman bin Abdul Malik came to see Atha 'with her children. The three of them sat near Atha 'who was working on the Sunnah prayers at the mosque. After he completed his prayer, he turned away from the three of them. The three of them are not perpetual asked about various laws regarding Hajj and Atha 'answer their questions with his back to them. Once finished ask the way home Caliph Sulaiman said to her two children,"O my sons, do not you slack in studying religion because I will not forget the humiliation we are in the presence of this black slave." (Ash Shifat Shafwah, vol 2, p. 211).
There are some lessons learned that we can take from the story above:
1). Science was visited not come. Look at how a caliph approached a scholar to inquire about religious matters.
Of Abul Qasim At Tafakur, I heard Abu Ali al-Hasan ibn 'Ali ibn Round Al Zanjani recalled that the Caliph Harun Ar Rashid send someone to Imam Malik bin Anas that he was pleased to come to court so that the two children, Haroon Rasheed, namely Amin and Ma'mun could learn religion directly to Imam Malik. Imam Malik rejected the request of Caliph Harun Ar Rashid and say, 'Science religion was visited not come.'
For the second time of Caliph Harun Ar Rashid sent messengers who brought the message caliph, 'I sent my two children to be able to study religion together with your disciples.' Her response Imam Malik, 'Please provided that both are not allowed to step over the shoulder so he could sit in the front and both sit where there is a loose when recitation. 'Finally, the second son of the caliph comes to meet the requirements set by Imam Malik. (Mukhtasar Tarikh Dimashq, pp. 3769, Syamilah).
2). A low in the human eye can be glorious in science. Take a look at a head of state with powers broad nan seems abject presence of a former black slave jet. A slave who would not have a special class in the human eye and an ugly seem noble in front of a head of state. This reality is true proof between the words of the Prophet,
قال عمر أما إن نبيكمصلى الله عليه وسلم- قد قال «إن الله يرفع بهذا الكتاب أقواما ويضع به آخرين
Umar said, "Verily the Prophet you ever say, 'Surely God is glorified by reason of the Qur'an (read: religious knowledge) some people and humiliate some people to cause Koran (read: turning away from religious knowledge)." (HR. Muslim, no. 1934 ).
3). Caliph Abdul Malik bin Sulaiman is a ruler who has a religious quality is good enough. This is evidenced by not awkward to ask the scholars while modestly low in the presence of scholars and his departure to Mecca to perform the pilgrimage.
وأنفقوا من ما رزقناكم من قبل أن يأتي أحدكم الموت فيقول رب لولا أخرتني إلى أجل قريب فأصدق وأكن من الصالحين
"And spend some of what We have given you before death comes to one of you; then he said: "O my Lord, why do not you suspend (death) to my near future, which cause I can give charity and I am among those the righteous?" (QS. al Munafiqun: 10).
What is meant by 'I am among those who worships' is I would Haj. Ibn Abbas said, "It is not anyone who is obliged to pay zakat and hajj but do not do it at the death he would have to ask God to get back into the world" (Tafsir al Jalalain, p. 566, published by Darus Salam Riyadh cet. The second 1422 H).
4). People who want to practice the attitude of the Salaf in 'addressing the problem lain'-not in the practice of the Salaf in explaining worship mahdhah-need to consider the changes and differences in the condition of society, the noble and the absence of religious knowledge and expert sunnah scholars in today's society and the good and bad effects of such behavior on the image of Islam and Muslims in general and the image of the preacher, prosecution of science, expert sunnah and righteous people in particular. We certainly agree that if the act Atha 'above (answering with his pen) imitated outright by a scholar or preacher today against the current rulers, of course what happens is misunderstanding, prejudice and bad image to Islam, preaching Islam, scholars, preachers and even generally Muslims.
It is not proper propaganda practice some people are excited mimic the Salaf scholars in order to address the other person without weighing the various factors surrounding the practice of the Salaf scholars so that their practices are practices in their day right, wise and appropriate at the time.
