Manaqib Habib Ali bin Muhammad Al Habsyi (Shahib Simthuddurar)

Composers String of Pearls of Life of the Prophet Muhammad, Mawlid Simthuddurar, Al Allama Arifbillah Al Imam Al Habib Ali bin Mohammed Al Qasam was born in Ethiopia, Yemen on Friday, the 24th of Shawwal 1259 AH (1839 AD). Name Ali is the provision of Arifbillah Al Habib Al Allama Abdullah bin Hussain bin Thohir Ba'alawi to bertabarruk of Imam Ali Khali Qasam.

 His father was born in Qasam, 18 Jumada End 1213 H, is a scholar and a great guardian who then moved to Makkah Al Mukarramah and became Mufti Syafi'iyyah there after kewafatan Al Allama Arifbillah ash Shaykh Ahmad Dimyati in 1270 H. He remains the Mufti until his demise on Wednesday, 21Dzulhijjah1281 H. He was buried in the cemetery Hauthah Saadah Ba'alawi, Makkah. While his mother, Syarifah Alwiyah bint Hussain bin Ahmad Al Hadi Al Jufri, is a woman who likes to teach and preach from the city Syibam. He was born in 1240 H and died on the 6th of Rabi 'Al-Thani 1309 H. Habib Ali has several siblings, including Abdullah Habib, Habib Ahmad, Habib Hussain, Habib Shaikh and Syarifah Aminah.

 Nasab Habib Ali is, Habib Ali Sahib Mawlid bin Muhammad bin Hussain bin Abdullah bin Sheikh bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Husain ibn Ahmad Sahib Syi'ib Ashghar bin Alwi bin Muhammad bin Abu Bakr Al Ethiopia bin Ali bin Ahmad bin Muhammad Assad Allah bin Hasan bin Atturabi Ali bin Mohammed Faqih Muqaddam bin Ali bin Mohammed bin Ali Sahib Mirbath Khali Qasam bin Alwi bin Muhammad bin Alwi Saumah Sahib Sahib Sahib Aradh Sumail bin Ubaidullah bin Ahmad Al Muhajir-ilallah Arrumi bin Mohammed bin Isa bin Ali Al Naqib Uraidhi bin Ja'far Ash Siddiq bin Muhammad Al-Baqir bin Ali Zainal Abidin bin Husain Ash Shaheed Syabul Jannah bin Ali bin Abu Talib, who married Fatima bint Azzahrah Prophet.

 When Habib Ali was seven years old, his father ordered by Habib Abdullah bin Hussain bin Thohir Ba'alawi to move to Makkah and stayed there until his death. At the age of 11, Habib Ali emigrated from Syibam to Seiwun with his mother, according to orders from Al Allama Arifbillah Al Habib Umar bin Hasan Al Haddad. Dalamp erjalanan that he stopped at Masileh and stay home Habib Abdullah bin Hussain bin Thohir Ba'alawi. There he uses his best opportunity to examine the book, take a sanad and diplomas.

 At the request of his father, at the age of 17 years Habib Ali sailed to Mecca and deepen their religious knowledge to his father. There he stayed for two years and returned to Yemen when her sister, Amina married to Habib Alwi bin Ahmad Assegaf, a disciple of his father. After that he returned deepen religious knowledge to scholars in Yemen. Among his teachers were:

 At the age of 37 years, he built a Ribath (boarding school) which was first established in Hadramaut, namely in Seiwun by name Ribath Riyadh. Kemudianpada 1303 H, aged 44 years, he built a mosque beside Ribath it, with the same name, Riyadh mosque. All costs for building two borne by Habib Ali, also the costs of students who monok in Ribath, borne by him. In 1255 H, the son he named Habib Alwi also build a Riyadh mosque in Solo, Indonesia.

More than hundred alim ulama been made in Ribath Riyadh under Habib Ali guidance. Some of his student is  :

 The most famous of the fragrance name Habib Ali was due to his composition beautiful, a string of pearls about the journey of life and morals grandfather glorious, the book Simthuddurar Fii Akhbar Mawlid Khoiril Bechar Wama Lahu Min Akhlaq Wa-aushof Wa-sirr, known as Mawlid Simthuddurar or Mawlid Ethiopia. He composed this book when he was 68 years old. On Thursday, 26 Shafar 1327 H he dictated the first chapter, then on Thursday 10 Rabi Awwal 1327 H, he perfected it, and on Friday 12 Rabi Awwal1327 H, he read the whole book for the first time at the home of one of his students Habib Umar bin Hamid Assegaf.

 

 Habib Ali once said about the book Maulidnya, "If someone makes the book Maulidku (Simthuddurar) as one awrad or memorize it, then sirr (secret) Prophet Muhammad would appear on her. I who made it up and dictation, but each time the book was read to me, then opened the door for me to relate to the Prophet Muhammad. Compliments to him to be accepted by society. This is because the magnitude of my love for him, even in my letters, when I meyifatkan RasulullahSAW, Allah opened to me the structure of language which did not exist before. This is the inspiration given to me by God. "

 

 At the end of his life that is noble, Habib Ali's health began to decline and two years before his demise, he lost his eyesight. 70 days before his death, he suffered Isthilam until his health weakened. Until at midday, Sunday the 20th of Rabi 'Al-Thani 1333 (1913 AD), his death left the mortal world to walk on the silk of heaven towards Rabb and His Beloved. His corpse was buried in the west Mosque Riyadh, Seiwun.

 

 Habib Muhammad Al Habsyi, the eldest son Habib Alii caliph appointed by him as his successor. While the other brother, namely Habib Alwi, then moved and preach in Indonesia. Habib Ali was married twice. First with a woman from Qasam, and gave birth to Habib Abdullah. Both the Syarifah Fatima bint Muhammad Mulakhela and has four children, Muhammad Habib, Habib Ahmad, Habib Alwi and Syarifah Khadijah. Until now children and grandchildren Habib Al i continue to call people to continue the struggle Habib Ali, among them was Habib Anis bin Alwi bin Ali Al Habsyi, Solo.
