In the Koran, in surah Al-Baqarah, there are five incredible event. Events are showing that God is the master of the universe ﷻ. He does what He wills. He is able and capable of anything. He is the only one worthy of worship.That event is the return of mortal souls of the dead. In the afterlife? No, It is happening in the world. And occurred in previous generations. So that people can take a lesson afterwards. Of course we did the proper thing, because God has equipped us ﷻ sense.
The first event is the occurrence of impudent children of Israel from the people of Moses. They asked that God ﷻ shown. ﷻ Allah said,
وإذ قال موسى لقومه يا قوم إنكم ظلمتم أنفسكم باتخاذكم العجل فتوبوا إلى بارئكم فاقتلوا أنفسكم ذلكم خير لكم عند بارئكم فتاب عليكم إنه هو التواب الرحيم. وإذ قلتم يا موسى لن نؤمن لك حتى نرى الله جهرة فأخذتكم الصاعقة وأنتم تنظرون. ثم بعثناكم من بعد موتكم لعلكم تشكرون
"And (remember) when Musa said to his people:" O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your choosing of the calf (for worship) so turn to God who made you and kill you. It is better for you in the sight of God who made you; He will accept your repentance. He is the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. " And (remember) when you said: "O Moses, we will not believe in thee till we see Allah plainly, because lightning struck you whilst you were looking." Then We raised you up after your death that you may give thanks. "(Surah Al-Baqarah | verse: 56).
Early Stories
This story began when Moses' upon God called ﷻ to receive revelation. Prior to his Lord, Moses gave the Israelites to his brother, Aaron, 'upon. So Aaron oversee, educate, and guide them. And do not let them turn to disbelief. Moreover, behavioral deviations have looked when they had just survived the ocean and saw Pharaoh destroyed. Israel said,
وجاوزنا ببني إسرائيل البحر فأتوا على قوم يعكفون على أصنام لهم قالوا يا موسى اجعل لنا إلها كما لهم آلهة قال إنكم قوم تجهلون
And We made the children of Israel across the sea; then they came upon a people who kept their idols, the children of Israel said: "O Moses. make for us a god (idols) as they have God (idols). " He said: "Surely you are a people who do not know (attributes of God)". (Surah Al-Araf | Verse: 138).
Sure enough, the children of Israel, creating fears of Moses. ﷻ great favor from Allah saved from Pharaoh forgot granted. Approach one of the people of Musa called a calf. It was not Israel. But he was able to influence them with their cover story. Samaritan took the Israelites worshiping a golden idol in the form of cows. ﷻ Allah said,
وإذ واعدنا موسى أربعين ليلة ثم اتخذتم العجل من بعده وأنتم ظالمون
"And (remember) when We promise to Moses (giving of the Torah, after) and forty nights, then you took the calf (for a god) after him and you were wrong-doers." (Surah Al-Baqarah | Ayat: 51 ).
When the Israelites fled from Pharaoh, most of them of stealing gold from the land of Egypt. Then after crossing the sea, he is ordered to abandon gold, because the property is not lawful for them. ﷻ God immortalize in his words,
قالوا ما أخلفنا موعدك بملكنا ولكنا حملنا أوزارا من زينة القوم فقذفناها فكذلك ألقى السامري
They said: "We did not break our promise to you, but we were laden with burdens of ornaments of the folk, then cast, and thus did the Samiri suggest." (Surah Ta-Ha | verse: 87).
Samaritan collects gold jewelry and make the calf. A statue when the air came in through the back, then the sound will come out of the mouth of the cow sculpture. Israel was amazed by these objects.
Samaritan placed in them said, "This is the Lord commanded Moses. God that she went to meet him. "(Al-Khomis, 2010: 385). ﷻ Allah said,
فأخرج لهم عجلا جسدا له خوار فقالوا هذا إلهكم وإله موسى فنسي
"Then he produced for them (into it) calf which seemed to low: so they said:" This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot. "" (Surah Ta-Ha | verse: 88).
How quickly they slip. Though mererka have witnessed the power of God with their senses. Their eyes saw what happened. Ears heard the roar. Skins they feel the atmosphere. But denial is still going on. Similarly, people, people who have been assigned the best messenger, Muhammad ﷺ. People who have been described to them the Koran. The eyes and ears of the children heard what happened to the previous nations. Pula will slip if they are unaware of obedience. ﷺ Prophet said,
بادروا بالأعمال فتنا كقطع الليل المظلم يصبح الرجل مؤمنا ويمسى كافرا أو يمسى مؤمنا ويصبح كافرا
"Hasten to do good deeds before coming Salih defamation (catastrophe) such as pieces of a dark night. Ie one in the morning and a believer in the evening in a state of disbelief. There is also a believer in the evening and in the morning are unbelievers ... "(HR. Muslim no. 118).
On his return he received a revelation from, he saw a very ugly incident that. He was very angry. Without realizing it, he cast a vision he had just received. Revelation contains kalamullah.
ولما رجع موسى إلى قومه غضبان أسفا قال بئسما خلفتموني من بعدي أعجلتم أمر ربكم وألقى الألواح
And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done after me! Do you want to lead your Lord? And he cast down the tablets (right) ... "(Surah Al-Araf | Verse: 150)
Then he met his brother Aaron, he has the mandate to take care of his people.
وأخذ برأس أخيه يجره إليه
"... And (he) holds (a) his brother (Aaron) as he grabbed at him ..." (Surah Al-Araf | Verse: 150).
Israel did not dare to do anything bad, when he is' upon is in their midst. They are very afraid of him. Because Moses was strong against them. As for Aaron, he is a gentle man. So when Aaron 'upon alone, they dare to bully him.
قال ابن أم إن القوم استضعفوني وكادوا يقتلونني فلا تشمت بي الأعداء ولا تجعلني مع القوم الظالمين
"... Aaron said:" Son of my mother, indeed the people reckoned me weak and almost killed me! Make not the enemies rejoice over me, nor put me amongst those who do wrong. "( Surah Al-Araf | Verse: 150).
The arrival of Moses, especially in anger, and made the children of Israel cease from their works. Although shirk this very much, but they do not dare confront Moses, who alone. Moses was a man competent and firmly. Then the Israelites complained that Samirilah culprit.
Moses discovered Samaritan and asked him about this incident.
قال بصرت بما لم يبصروا به فقبضت قبضة من أثر الرسول فنبذتها وكذلك سولت لي نفسي
He replied: "I saw what they saw not: so I took a handful from the footsteps of the messenger, then I threw it in the casting;". (Surah Ta-Ha | verse: 96).
He was Gabriel. Samaritan saw him riding his horse, sesasat after the children of Israel out of the sea that split it. When Pharaoh and his army dying waves swallowed (as-Sa'di, 2003: 484).
Moses knew what really happened. And the sound that comes out of the cow sculpture as a former horse ditingglkan by Jibril (al-Khomis, 2010: 387). Then Moses burned the idols. Cow statue that was destroyed.
Israel instructed Repent
They said, "We repent, O Moses." He said, "Kill yourselves (Surah Al-Baqarah | verse: 54)". At the command of God, came sirnalah dark and light. And even those who repent before each fight (kill each other). There is mention up to 70,000 of them were killed. This repentance to Allah for them. For the sin which they committed heinous award after the victory over the Pharaohs.
We should give thanks to God ﷻ. Since we got preferential treatment. Previous immediately get pointed when they deny. In contrast to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, God pointed to the delay ﷻ end of this age. There is a tough time to repent. If they repent, their sins will be blotted out. And for their reward in the hereafter.
Then the darkness was gone. Israel said, "O Moses, what God has already forgiven us?" He said, "God has forgiven you. But I would choose some among you ".
واختار موسى قومه سبعين رجلا لميقاتنا
"And Moses chose seventy of his people for (ask mercy on us) at the time we choose ..." (Surah Al-Araf | Verse: 155).
Moses also took away 70 people from Israel's best. Moses said to them, "Wait, I will pray to my Lord." They responded, "Are we also heard a speech Lord? We have also heard ".
He said, "Come with me". See how sadly Moses to them and how their impudent to God and His Messenger.
Moses pray to God and God was in dialogue with it. 70 Then they heard the word of God. Then, with no manners, they spoke again, "O Musa, who was speaking to you?" He said, "He is my Lord." So they answered,
يا موسى لن نؤمن لك حتى نرى الله جهرة
"O Moses, we will not believe in thee till we see Allah in fact ..." (Surah Al-Baqarah | verse: 55).
Behold! This is the situation the best people from the people of Moses. How bad their behavior. How else people below their position. Of course, much worse and rude. However, how much love and patience, one of the apostles who dubbed porn ulul azmi facing them. ﷻ Allah said,
وإذ قلتم يا موسى لن نؤمن لك حتى نرى الله جهرة فأخذتكم الصاعقة وأنتم تنظرون
And (remember) when you said: "O Moses, we will not believe in thee till we see Allah plainly, because lightning struck you whilst you were looking." (Surah Al-Baqarah | verse: 55).
70 The best of the children of Israel shall perish.
This incident again shows the noble character of the Prophet Moses' upon. How loving he is toward his people. Moses said, "O my Lord, what shall I say to the Israelites when I get home and see them? What should I say, 'God has destroyed 70 persons'? Ya Allah quicken their return and forgive them. "
Moses did not want this situation is increasingly making its followers awry. And Allah is Forgiving ﷻ, he forgave the people he gave pleasure in a row, but still refuse seingkar-defaults to him. Then turn their back for the second time.
ثم بعثناكم من بعد موتكم لعلكم تشكرون
"Then We raised you up after your death that you may give thanks." (Surah Al-Baqarah | verse: 56).
This is the first group, the die then live again. They suffer double the life of the world.
