The nature of the Sufis and Who are they?

Sheikh Abu Nasr al-Sarraj - rahimahullah - said: The properties of the Sufis and who they are, as was answered by Abdul Wahid bin Zaid - as I've ever received - where it is one that is very close to Hasan al- Basri - rahimahullah - when asked, "Who is that Sufis do you think?" He answered, "It is those who use their minds when afflicted with sorrow and always menetapinya with conscience, always sticking to his Lord (Allah) from the evil desires. It is they Sufis. "Dzun Nun al-Misri - rahimahullah - was asked about Sufis, he answered, "A Sufi is one who is not constrained by the demands tired, and not made uneasy by something missing from it." DzunNun also once said, "The Sufi is people who emphasizes God from everything. But with so God will favor them above everything. "
Never asked for some Sufi, "Who deserves to be my friend?" He replied, "Make friends with the Sufis, because in their eyes evil that is sure to have many reasons to be excused. While a lot of things in their view means nothing, so that makes you feel proud (ujub). "Al-Junaid ibn Muhammad - rahimahullah - was asked about Sufis, "Who are they?" He answered, "They are a people chosen by God from His creation which He loves and hide when He when He liked putting him anyway."
Abu al-Husain Ahmad bin Muhammad an-Nuri - rahimahullah - was asked about Sufis, he answered, "The Sufis are those who hear the same '(ecstasy during dhikr) and prefer to use the facilities (reason)."The Syrians say the Sufis as fuqara '(the poor man to God). Where they give a reason, that Allah Almighty. has referred to them by fuqara 'in his words:"(Also) for those poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property (for) seeking bounty from Allah and keridhaan- (His) and they helped Allah and His Messenger. They are the ones who are honest (true). "(Surat al-Hashr: 8).
And he also says:"(Charity is) for the poor who are restricted (from travel) of Allah." (Surat al-Baqara: 273).
Abu 'Abdallah Ahmad bin Muhammad al-Jalla Nahya' - rahimahullah - was asked about a Sufi. He replied, "We do not know of the existence of the requirements, but we only know that he was a fakir clean of various means (reason). It is always with Allah Almighty and Majestic, with unlimited places. Meanwhile, al-Haq, God did not allow it to know the place. That's called a Sufi. "
There is an opinion stating that the word Sufi is derived from the word originally Shafawi (clean ones), but because it is heavy to say, then changed to Shufi.Abu Hasan al Qannad rahimahullah was asked about the meaning of the Sufi, he replied, "The word is derived from the Shafa ', which means it is always done only to Allah Almighty in every time loyally."
Others said, "Sufi is a person when faced with two choices spiritual condition of good character or two, then it always chooses the best and most important." There are also other Sufi asked about the meaning, he said, "The meaning of Sufi is when a servant has been able to realize the slavery (ubudiyyah), bleached by al-Haq so clean from human excrement, occupies a position of fact and comparing the laws of Sharia. If he can do that, then he is a Sufi. Because it has been cleaned. "Sheikh Abu Nasr - rahimahullah - said: if you are asked, "Who is the fact that the Sufis?" Try to explain to us! And Sheikh Abu Nasr al-Sarraj, who answered, "They are scholars who know God and His laws, practice what God taught them, realizing what was commanded to practice it, to appreciate what they have realized and drift (pass) by what they involve. For all those who are willing to embrace something he would drift (pass) by what he biodiversity. "
Abu Hasan al Qannad - rahimahullah - said, "Sufism is the name given to the outer clothing. While they differ in a variety of different meanings and spiritual condition. "Abu Bakar bin jahd Dulaf ash-Shibli - rahimahullah - was asked about why the Sufis called so. He replied, "Because there are still traces in their psyche that track. If there were no such marks, names will not necessarily be attached to and dependent on them. "
It also said that the Sufis are the remains of the best people Ahlush-Shuffah (the residents who lived through the mosque of the Prophet., Ed.).As for those who say that the name is a symbol of the purity of their clothes. This has been mentioned in the history of the people who wear suf (wool), where the prophets and righteous people choose this type of clothing. While talking about this issue long enough. Many answers about Sufism, where a group of people have given different answers. Among them is Ibrahim bin al-ar-raqq Muwallad mercy that gives answers to more than a hundred answers. As we mentioned, we think that is sufficient.
Ali bin Abdurrahim al-Qannad - rahimahullah - give answers about the disappearance of Sufism and Sufi people in strands of his poems:When Member Sufism has passed, Sufism into seclusion, so screaming, ecstatic and history. When knowledge has passed, there is no longer science and shining heart, thy lusts have mendustaimu, no footing and beautiful wayUntil you look at the man with the sharp eyes, flowing secret is within you open and secret bergururan saw activity.
Among teachers (sheikhs) Sufi there are three answers about Sufism.First, the answer to the requirements of knowledge, ie from dirty to clean liver, noble creature in God and follow Prophet. the Shari'a.Second, the answer to Lisanul-haqiqah (in fact), that do not feel they have (intention), out of the bondage of nature and just be content with the Creator of the heavens.Thirdly, the answer to Lisanul-Haq (language al-Haq), whom Allah wipe with cleaning properties, and he clear up on their properties. They deserve to be called Sufis.
I once asked al-Hushri, "Who is actually a Sufi according to your views." He answered, "He is a man who is not located above the earth and the sky is not shaded. That is, even if they are above the earth and under heaven, but God who put him on earth, and He is forgiving shelter with sky. Not earth or heaven itself. "
From Abu Bakr as-Siddiq R.A. narrated that he used to say, "The earth which will be able to give place to me and the sky which could menaungiku, if I say about what is in the Book of Allah alone in my opinion."
