Sometimes he forced himself to go to their homes, so that none of his disciples told him, that the he had udzur, because the elderly and it is quite burdensome, but he replied: 'We went to their homes, to Manfa 'at and maslakhat them and we hope from Allah, so that every house we entered God will forgive the occupants of the house ".
If there are two people came to the majlis al-Habib Umar, then he ask to both, who among them are older, having been made known to him, then he let the older sitting at the right hand of him being younger seated on the left so that he can honor his age Munurut respectively, hereinafter both pleased and digembirakan with great joy, and then he spoke to both of them according to their thinking ability of each. His morals are like that cause everyone bowled to him and his character is often called.
Al-Habib Umar often visited Wadi al-Qasar Amed and to invite residents to the path of God and to unite people in dispute between them. For the sake of this one, he sacrificed a lot of wealth and power. And very patient to their rampart, he almost never get angry except Allah ban slighted by someone, if it happens, then he is very angry, to be seen of his face.
Al-Habib Umar always encourage people to diligently work deeds of worship and attending Friday prayers and Jama'ah, he always advocated good deeds and prohibiting unjust deeds. He did not want to get into the house that the owner likes to do kemungkaran and would not attend their invitation, till they were willing to change their habits.
Al-Habib Umar often visited the Wadi Dou'an, a habit that he has done since the beginning and he never forgo it except at the end. He never visited Wadi Dou'an departing from al-Lisk with mengenderai camels and accompanied al-Faqih Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Asbuhi Bajamal. In a visit to Wadi Dou'an he visited Sheikh Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Nu'man village Hajrain Hajrain, Sheikh Ahmad then went with him to the Qaidun to visit the tomb of Sheikh Sa'id ibn Isa Alamudi.

When al-Faqih Sheikh Abdul Kabir Ibn Abdul Kabir Baqais visited him that when he was still in the learning age, then he said: "Hi, Abdul Kabir name has lived, then revive science". Al-Habib Umar always submissive and redho to anything desired by God. Al-Habib Umar always simple in the way dressed, eat drink and place of residence. He likes to wear white coarse, woven in the country, not made of India. He never wear black, apart from when his son died, but he also wore white and red clothes to reveal he was not hard for the death of his son. Not long after the porridge asidah prepared villagers had been completed, then they serve it to the presence of al-Habib Umar, but he does not feed at all of porridge asidah it, so they asked him to taste it, but he rejected it mildly, saying: " There is a daughter has brought food fruit chinese bidara me, I have to eat a little and that I have sense enough ". This story is one proof of simplicity al-Habib Umar in terms of food.
Nature posture al-Habib Umar al-Attas

There was a pious residents of a village Hadzyah named Ahmad ibn Abdillah Bajusair, he was a teacher of the Koran for small children. Al-Habib Alwi Abdullah ibn al-Haddad said: "When I visited al-Habib Umar al-Attas, I saw in him, the properties contained in the elders he was up on themselves Prophet".
Habib 'Isa ibn Muhammad al-wise billah Ethiopia and the other, a lot of personal circumstances THAT said al-Habib Umar al-Attas and follow-up is much different from the other guardian figures. At a time when he visited the home of a family in the village Basuwaid Anaq. Then he was greeted with overwhelming response, and he was given a pumpkin. He asked: "Where did you get this pumpkin?" The man replied: "I plucked from a garden belonging to endowments". He said he: "Well, we are not allowed to eat from the garden which has diwakafkan, because the garden has diwakafkan it belongs to all Muslims". The man said: "From now on I am no longer willing to eat from the garden which has diwakafkan, and how the results that I have eaten in former times?" Said Habib Umar: "To atone for his past, then take care of the garden and then share the results of the Muslims ". So since then, the garden has diwakafkan began as best as possible ".
Habib Umar did not want to accept the will of a property unless he has been clarify totally about redhanya heirs. At one time there was a woman who willed most of her jewelry worth three Uqiyah. When the woman owner of the property died, then diwasiatkan treasure was given to him, but he would not accept it until after clarifying redha heirs of the will treasure ".
Mentioned by Sheikh Ali ibn Salim al-Junaid, that his father named Salim never borrowed a donkey for vehicles to travel Habib Umar would go to the village Lahrum. Strangely, when she reached the middle of the journey, donkey stopped and sat down in the desert, but this time the air is very hot. Tawadhu sense 'al-Habib Umar al-Attas

At one time, residents Syibam scrambling to shake hands with him, there was a man when it saw the simplicity clothes and ketawadhu'annya Habib Umar, he said: "A man like this, we in the Tarim not invited to shake hands with him." On a day when people come to Habib Umar to congratulate him on the birth of his child, while of the city no one comes, they are the ones who rampart and leave at prayer and Friday, then there one of the villagers who heard THAT Habib Umar have children, then she said keldaiku have children, a speech mocking and very inappropriate. When he heard the admiration of some people who witnessed the sanctity person's guardian, then he said: "Surely it is only God's grace that gave slave".
When it was mentioned to him: "Why dialect language is not changed, when you have a long stay at the top of Hadramaut?" Habib Umar replied: "A language is a dialect change of less intellect".
